Today
There's a new Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan page: Effin’ and blindin’. In which Kel is naked and foul-mouthed. Go read it on the website!
As I write this on Saturday morning, I don't know how many songs I will have written for February Album Writing Month. Could be any number between 0 and 5 depending on how things will have gone. Find out on my FAWM profile!
Reminder: if you were interested in getting a paid subscription to this newsletter, you can do so right now at the fire sale price of $4/month! It's a fire sale because I need to get to a hundred paid members across my Patreon and the newsletter, or else I won't be able to continue making comics after the end of February. So please help me save Greyfriar's Isle, Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan and other comics by becoming a paid subscriber!
Earlier
Here's one I wrote during FAWM two years ago. This is actually one of the more polished demos and has some animations by me:
and it's what I took today's newsletter title from. Lately whenever I see a blank space, I try to fill it with writing. This actually helps me stop myself from doomscrolling and hopefully it will retrain me to focus on creating longer pieces of text. So on my LinkedIn, I wrote about how my father got his job of 35 years and also met my mother.
And on Medium, I wrote I am a ghost, about finding out that I had 29 followers on that platform despite never having written anything before on there and rarely using the site. Looking at that list of followers again, it looks like quite a few are bots and the rest are probably an artefact of Medium trying to connect to Mastodon. So I can go on not using Medium… except, that white space is so inviting!
Both these pieces will be reposted on my self-hosted blog later on because I don't want those platforms to be the only place where you can find them.

Today's bonus comic for paid subscribers was originally written and drawn in 2007. If you're not a paid subscriber, you can read an older version of the full page here for free: O, Gods, No, and you can read on from that page until the most recent comic, for free, now. Or you can even binge the comic from its very early beginnings!

See you all on Wednesday when there’ll be a new Greyfriar's Isle strip out!
